Illustrator. Is. Awesome!

I have been an InDesign enthusiast and Photoshopaholic for quite a few years. And now, I’m throwing Illustrator into the mix. The final link in my Creative Suite chain.

So what is Illustrator? (Other than the vector design program of choice, that is.) Illustrator is the arena of exquisitely delightful tools specifically designed for artistic expression. Colors. Shapes. Brushes. Layers. Symbols. Styles. Effects. The Pen tool. And you. Your ideas. Your flair. Your chutzpah. Your juju.

This is the arena of logo design. Of intricate illustrations. Of ideas come to life. Of layers upon layers of blends, gradients and colored shapes which total far more than the sum of their parts. Illustrator brings imaginings to life, and turns visions into reality. In short, it kicks you-know-what.
